Cutting as a method of breaking dormancy in microtubers producedin vitro

Abstract

Microtubers formedin vitro often undergo long periods of dormancy. A simple method of promoting sprouting is to cut the microtubers in half. The promotive effect is demonstrated over a wide range of cultivars.
