Summary
Within the limitations of the small-deflection plate theory exact and closed expressions are obtained for the complex potentials which solve the problem of an isotropic thin circular plate subject to general boundary conditions covering the usual rigidly clamped and simply supported boundaries, the plate being bent by uniform normal loading distributed over the area of an elliptic limacon concentric with the plate.
