Abstract

One hundred and eighteen patients with retention of urine were divided randomly into two groups, viz. acupuncture plus Tuina group and injection of drug group, and were treated and observed respectively. The result showed there was a significant difference in the therapeutic effects between the two groups. The comparison and analysis of the therapeutic effects, the therapeutic times and the influence of therapeutic effects between the two groups indicated that the therapeutic effect of acupuncture plus Tuina was obviously prior to that of injection of drug and reflected acupuncture and Tuina on retention of urine was a better method of treatment.
