Abstract

The paper introduces a method to get three-dimensional reproduction of log shape by adopting Spline Function in fitting the curve of the finite log data. The method has advantages of higher accuracy, less acquired data, easier to use, etc. Making use of high-precision drawing function of computer, the graphs of log geometric shape in different visual angles can be achieved easily with this method. It also provided a firm foundation for the determination of optimum saw cutting scheme.
