Abstract

In the experiment modern pollen specimens were heated on a TGD-3000 PH/H DTA-DTG analyzer, followed by IR spectroscopic, pyrolytic and elemental analyses. On the basis of the geochemical indices obtained, the present paper discusses the hydrocarbon-generating potential of pollen, changes in its internal texture and the relation of pollen-color alteration with organic matter maturity.
