Abstract
The kinetics of photolysis of phenol in presence of two kinds of TiO2 colloid in acid aqueous solution medium was studied by transient absorption spectroscopy. The absorbance and quantum yield of the phenoxyl radicals is strongly influenced by the chloride ions. The process of laser flash photolysis of phenol in the presence of chloride has been discussed.
