Abstract
Using optically active Ru(bpy) 2+3 and Ru(phen) 2+3 as probe chelates, the phenomenon of chiral recognition is demonstrated with clays. Similarities and differences in the binding states of the above chelates are also discussed. Finally, the effect of such binding state differences on clay aggregation patterns are reported.
