Shape catalogues in steel profile production

  • Published:
Journal of Materials Shaping Technology

Abstract

Three different catalogues have been proposed for the multitude of special profiles made of steel: a design catalogue, classification arranged by further machining of the profile to produce the finished product, and a pattern catalogue. The summaries assist the designer in using the steel profiles, evaluate the manufacturing possibilities, and help the steel profile designer to use new computer-aided classifications.
