Investigations on a hypersensitized ilford emulsion

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

Ilford have recently produced a new experimental nuclear emulsion of very high sensitivity — it is of the K-5 type but, having been hypersensitized, has a sensitivity which is nearly doubled with respect to the ordinary K-5 emulsion. In this note, the keeping qualities of the exposed plates are described together with some discussion of the variation of the sensitivity from surface to glass. Finally, the relationship between the development time in an Amidol developer and the corresponding sensitivity are described.
