Distribution of electric multipole strengths in58Ni

Summary

Inelastic electron scattering of 124 and 180 MeV electrons from58Ni has been measured for momentum transfers of 0.4 fm−1q≤1.2 fm−1 with an energy resolution of 110 keV. Using DWBA form factors with Tassie transition densities, we have extracted the electric multipole strength forL≤4 residing in 28 discrete states and in the inelastic continuum below 22.5 MeV of excitation.

È stato misurato lo scattering anelastico di elettroni a 124 e 180 MeV, rispettivamente, da58Ni per impulsi trasferiti di 0.4 fm−1q≤1.2 fm−1 con una risoluzione d’energia 110 keV. Usando i fattori di forma DWBA con densità di transizione di Tassie, è stata estratta la forza del multipolo elettrico perL≤4 che si trova in 28 stati discreti e nel continuo anelastico al di sotto di 22.5 MeV di eccitazione.
