Future C.E.O.’s in year 2002

Abstract

Chief Executive Officers of mental health facilities have been interested civil leaders. Many doctors have accepted C.E.O. positions in our history. Today the competitions out to see who will be the future’s C.E.O.’s. The rumors run from lawyers to clinicians from many of the hospital’s disciplines and from purely administrative side of the hospitals management system. It will not be unusual to see more Ph.D., M.B.A.’s, or M.D., M.P.A. or M.S., M.H.A. degree combinations in year 2002.

Lee, James R. Jr., M.S. Ed.— is a former Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who is currently employed as the Unit VI Director at St. Louis State Hospital. He received his Masters degree at the University of Missouri at Columbia. This is his second article in the Journal.

Lee, Mary E.—received her M.S. from Oklahoma State University. She is Administrator to the C.G.H.L., Inc., and agency for housing the disabled.

Meeks. Thelma J.—received her Masters in Education from Kansas State Teachers College. She is presently working as a Consultant to the Joplin Regional Center.
