Estimate of Λ-nucléon potential with hard core from the binding energy of hypertriton

Summary

A variational calculation of the binding energy of hypertriton is made in order to determine the strength of a Λ-nucleon potential with an infinite repulsive core. A hard core potential is also used to describe the proton-neutron interaction. A Λ-nucleon potential is found which is stronger than the A-nucleon potential determined from previous calculations which assumed monotonically varying potentials. Nevertheless, the Λ-nucleon potential still does not appear to be strong enough to bind the hyperdeuteron. Tensor forces are omitted in the calculation, but an argument is given to show that their omission should not substantially affect the results.

Si esegue un caloolo variazionale dell’energia di legame dell’ipertritone allo scopo di determinare l’intensita del potenziale di un nucleone A con un nocciolo ripulsivo infinite. Si fa uso di un potenziale di « hard core » anche per descrivere l’interazione protone-neutrone. Si trova un potenziale del nucleone A superiore a quello determinato con calcoli precedenti basati sull’ipotesi di potenziali monotonicamente variabili. Nondimeno, il potenziale del nucleone Λ non appare ancora abbastanza intenso per legare 1’iperdeutone. Nel caloolo si omettono le forze tensoriali ma si danno argomenti per dimostrare che la loro omissione non influisce sostanzialmente sui risultati.
