Spectral density of quantum fields in cosmic-string space-time

Summary

We examine how a topological gravitational field influences the process of absorption and emission of quanta of a Hermitian scalar field by a pointlike monopole detector. The spectral density is calculated and the renormalized energy density registered by the detector is presented.
