Scaling properties of double-beta-decay amplitudes

Summary

The calculation of the neutrinoless double-beta-decay amplitudes in terms of nuclear form factors is extended to theV+A contribution for the 0+→1+→0+ transitions and to them v term for the 0+→2→0+ processes. Scaling properties of the amplitudes in terms of the nuclear radius are derived; these results are useful, in particular, to check the accuracy of the nuclear-physics evaluations and to establish the actual size of the suppression effects in the neutrinoless amplitudes.

Si estende il calcolo delle ampiezze di probabilità del doppio decadimento β senza neutrini nello stato finale in termini di fattori di forma al contributoV+A per le transizioni 0+→1+→0+ ed al terminem v per i processi 0+→2→0+, e si derivano proprietà di scala in termini di raggio nucleare. Questi risultati sono particolarmente utili per verificare l’accuratezza di valutazioni di fisica nucleare e per stabilire la reale entità degli effetti di soppressione delle ampiezze nel caso senza neutrini nello stato finale.
