A study of the97Mo(n, n′ γ)97Mo reaction

Исследование реакции97Mo(n, n′ γ)97Mo

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

The γ-radiation following inelastic scattering of neutrons from97Mo was studied for incident neutron energies in the range of 1200 to 3200 keV. The levels and the decay schemes of97Mo were determined up to an excitation energy of 2905.5 keV; 32 γ-decays were observed and 7 levels were proposed for the first time. Level spins and parities were deduced by comparing the experimental γ-ray yields with the theoretical predictions of the statistical model of the compound nucleus.
