On the problem of the bound states in the framework of the Padé approximants

It is suggested that the dependence of the poles of the Padé approximants on the masses of the external virtual particles for an off-mass-shell scattering amplitude may be used in order to improve, by means of a variational principle, the determination of the bound states.
