Inelastic electron-proton scattering with a dynamical group model

Summary

We use the resonance model to analyse the inelastic electron-proton scattering. The resonances are described by a dynamical-group model. One can obtain the rapid decrease for the transition form factors for large values of momentum transfer and show that all resonances fall off according to a dipole formula. We investigate the existence of the Bjorken limits for the structure functions and show that the model gives finite Bjorken limits for the functionsF 1(ω) andF 2(ω). We study the threshold behaviour of these functions and obtain the Drell-Yan formula.
