Role of tensor forces in neutron-deuteron elastic scattering

Summary

With the aim of treating the elastic scattering of neutrons by deuterons at low energies in presence of tensor forces, the resonating-group method is considered, which gives a set of coupled integro-differential equations. The Hulthén wave function is used for thes-state component of the deuteron ground state and it is shown that the coupled integro-differential equations results essentially from the inclusion of the tensor forces.

Al fine di trattare lo scattering elastico di neutroni da parte di deutoni a basse energie in presenza di forze tensoriali, si prende in considerazione il metodo del gruppo risonante, che fornisce un insieme di equazioni integrodifferenziali accoppiate. Si usa la funzione d’onda di Hulthèn per la componente dello statos dello stato fondamentale dei deutoni e mostra che le equazioni integrodifferenziali accoppiate derivano essenzialmente dalla inclusione delle forze tensoriali.

С целью исследования упругого рассеяния нейтронов на дейтронах при ниэких знергиях в присутствии тенэорных сил рассматривается метод, который дает систему свяэанных интегро-дифференциа льных уравнений. Испольэуется волновая функция Хюльтена для компоненты «-состояния в основном состоянии дейтрона. Покаэывается, что полученная свяэанная система интегро-дифференциа льных уравнений воэникает, в основном, иэ-эа включения тенэорных сил.
