Phase-shift ambiguities for spinless andL _max⩽4 elastic scattering

Summary

The manifold phase-shift ambiguities leading to the same elastic differential cross-section are investigated in the case of amplitudes having a finite number of partial waves. ForL _max⩽4 it is shown that no more than two nontrivially independent solutions can exist simultaneously.
