Chiral breaking and low-energy π0 electroproduction

Summary

Threshold photo- and electroproduction of neutral pions off nucleons are analysed in terms of the higher equal-time commutator 〈N|[∂ν A ν ,V e.m.|N〉, evaluated in the (\(3,\bar 3\))⊕(\(\bar 3,3\)) model of Gell-Mann, Oakes and Renner. We discuss in particular the role of the chiral-symmetry-breaking parameters. Comparison with other, independent approaches leads to a size of the « proton-quark » mass consistent with the notion of approximateSU 2×SU 2 symmetry of hadrons.

Si analizzano i processi di foto- ed elettroproduzione di pioni neutri da nucleoni in funzione del commutatore più alto 〈N|[∂ν A ν ,V e.m.|N〉, valutato nel modello (\(3,\bar 3\))⊕(\(\bar 3,3\)) di Gell-Mann, Oakes e Renner. Si discute in particolare il ruolo dei parametri di rottura della simmetria chirale. Un confronto con altri approcci indipendenti porta ad una valutazione della grandezza della massa del « quark-protone » consistente con la nozione di una simmetria approssimataSU 2×SU 2 degli adroni.

Аналиэируется пороговое фото- и злектророждение нейтральных пионов на нуклонах в терминах равновременного коммутатора 〈N|[∂ν A ν ,V e.m.|N〉, вычисленного в модели (\(3,\bar 3\)) ⊕ (\(\bar 3,3\)) Белл-Манна, Оакса и Реннера. В частности, мы обсуждаем роль параметров, нарущаюших киральную симметрию. Сравнение с другими неэависимыми подходами приводит к величине массы «протон-кварк», согласуюшейся с представлением приближеннойSU 2×SU 2 симметрии адронов.
