Mass generation for gauge mesons in conformal quantum gravity

Summary

A mechanism to generate masses for gauge mesons in conformal quantum gravity is suggested. The scalar Lagrangian generates a conformal gravity contribution. This model avoids the occurrence of the Higgs field, which can be absorbed in the metric as a conformal factor.
