Summary
An approximate calculation of the effective potential for composite operators at finite temperature is proposed in order to analyse the restoration of the chiral symmetry. The nature of the phase transition depends on the assumptions about the behaviour of the coupling constant in the infra-red region and of the generated mass in the ultraviolet region at small temperature. A strategy for a more reliable calculation is suggested.
