Abstract

Chlorinated phenol derivatives were found to display an effect on soil microorganisms and their physiological and biochemical activity—nitrification, ammonization of proteins, total metabolic activity detected by the production of CO2, and total cellulolytic activity. The effect of chlorinated phenol derivatives increases with the degree of chlorination.
