Differential cross-sections of cluster transfer heavy-ion reactions in the whole angle region

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Heavy-ion reactions with a cluster transfer have been investigated. The angular distributions are calculated for the whole angular region. The differential cross-sections are calculated using the exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation. The distorted waves of the interacting heavy ions in both of the initial and final channels are generated using distorting optical potentials of the Woods-Saxon forms. The theory is based on a direct reaction mechanism of incoherent sum of stripping and knock-out process to reproduce the complete angular distributions at forward and backward angles. The results of numerical calculations of the present theoretical studies for the differential cross-sections in the whole angle region reproduce the experimental measurements. The extracted spectroscopic factors obtained from the fitting of the theoretical and experimental angular distributions are found to have reasonable values.
