A Critique of the nuclear behaviour at high angular momentum

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The nuclear behaviour at high angular momentum in general and the variation of the interaction between the ground state and the aligned band and the oscillation behaviour of the back-bending phenomenon in particular can bo explained within the framework of the Cranked Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory. These behaviours cannot simply be due to a change of the rotating core or an interference between the different bands as have been described.
