Search for a [211] quartet state in20Ne

Summary

A level atE x=14.467 MeV in20Ne has been found to have some quartet component, possibly of [211] configuration. By using the value ofV p,sd recalculated on the basis of the results of Middleton, Garret and Fortune on the12C(12C, α)20Ne reaction and the value ofV sd,pf taken from the work of Arima, Gillet and Ginocchio, the unknown value ofV p,pf would result of the order of 200 keV. This seems to confirm the hypothesis of the independence of the quartet interactions from the number of excited quartets.

Si è trovato che uno stato adE x=14.467 MeV nel20Ne possiede una componente di struttura a quartetti, apparentemente del tipo [211]. Se si ricalcola il valore diV p,sd sulla base dei risultati di Middleton, Garret e Fortune sulla reazione12C(12C, α)20Ne e si mantiene il valore diV sd,pf preso dal lavoro di Arima, Gillet e Ginocchio, ne risulta perV p,pf un valore di circa 200 keV. Questo va nella direzione di una conferma dell'ipotesi d'indipendenza dei potenziali di interazione di quartetto dal numero di quartetti eccitati.
