Summary

Penetration effects in109Cd were detected through the measurement of theK internal-conversion coefficient ακ of the 7/2+→5/2+, 203 keV transition in this nucleus. From the measured value ακ(203 the value λ=4.8±1.5 was deduced for the penetration parameter.
