Summary
Successful management of a case of oesophagopleural fistula of uncertain aetiology in a child of 7 years, is described. Excluding trauma, oesophagopleural fistula is a very uncommon condition. Perforation of a traction diverticulum due to tubercular adenitis in the region of the upper oesophagus has been the cause in the majority of reported cases. Clinical, aetiological and therapeutic aspects have been reviewed.
