Summary
The paper presents a model in order to calculate the premium for motor liability excess of loss treaties with a high priority.
It is assumed that all losses behave according to a logarithmic normal distribution. After the estimation of the respective parameters, the distribution of the size and the frequency of the losses is derived for the excess of loss treaty.
The total loss for the reinsurer is then represented by a random variable with compound Poisson distribution.
The results for various priorities and limits are listed.
