Summary
Serum copper and serum copper oxidase levels were measured in 400 children admitted to wards with various clinical diagnoses. Both levels were high in children with cirrhosis and other liver diseases and in infections, whereas they were low in the nephrotics. There was no apparent relationship between the levels of copper and ceruloplasmin, though no statistical tests were applied.
