Summary
We demonstrate that renormalizability and hybrid symmetry breaking could be compatible. This result is applied to generalize the electroweak theory to include an intrinsic breaking of theU(1) symmetry of baryon and lepton numbers. There is an additional Z boson, called «chino», which couples to conserved lepton and baryon currents. The chino mass is 246 GeV, based on dimensional argument.
