The role of chiral symmetry in γp→pπ0

Summary

We argue that the expansions involved in the PCAC approach to the description of the π0 photoproduction on proton at threshold have a very slow 0210 0106 V 3 convergence and therefore no reliable prediction can be obtained from them.
