Centre-of-mass effects in high-energy scattering by light nuclei

Summary

The problem of the centre-of-mass motion effects on high-energy particle-nucleus scattering is briefly reviewed. A new approach to the problem, based on the projection of the intrinsic part out of a shell model wave function, is presented. Applications to the calculation of the charge form factor of3He nucleus are illustrated and the numerical results are compared with those obtained by using other prescriptions to treat the centre-of-mass motion.

Si discutono gli effetti del moto del centro di massa sulla diffusione particella-nucleo ad alte energie. Si presenta un nuovo approccio al problema basato sulla proiezione della parte intrinseca di una funzione d'onda di modello a strati e si illustrano alcune applicazioni al calcolo del fattore di forma del nucleo3He. I risultati numerici sono paragonati con quelli ottenuti dalle altre prescrizioni usate per trattare il moto del centro di massa.

Обсуждается влияние движения центра масс на рассеяние частиц на ядрах при высоких энергиях. Предлагается новый подход к рассматриваемой проблеме, основанный на проектировании внутренней части волновой функции в рамках оболочечной модели. В качестве приложений вычисляется форм-фактор ядра3He. Численные результаты сравниваются с результатами, полученными при использовании других описаний движения центра масс.
