Summary
Using the Goldstone-boson equivalence theorem, we compute the scattering W +L W −L →H→W +L W −L assuming anomalous WWH couplings. The most general Lorentz covariant WWH vertex contains oneCP-even and oneCP-odd arbitrary parameters. We show that for a centre-of-mass energy\(\sqrt s \)⩾M 2H ,M 2W the contribution to theJ=0 partial wave gives no constraint to this parameter. ForM 2W ⩽\(\sqrt s \) ⩽M 2H , in order that theJ=0 partial wave does not violate unitarity requires this parameter be in the interval (−4.8 Λ/M 2H , +0.8 Λ/M 2H ), where Λ is an energy scale.
