Quantum-mechanical momentum fluctuation in the theory of nonlocal nuclear forces

Summary

In this paper we have studied the effect of nonlocality of the interaction potential of the nucleon system on the probability current density and through it on the momentum. It appears that the use of the concept of momentum fluctuation facilitates considerably the calculations concerning the photonuclear reactions with the aid of sum rule techniques. In particular, this method makes it possible to consider explicitly the sums weighted by the negative power of the energy difference between the initial and the final states. The electric-dipole transitions have been considered in detail.

In questo articolo si studia l’effetto della non località del potenziale di interazione del sistema di nucleoni sulla densità della corrente di probabilità e tramite essa sull’impulso. Risulta che l’uso del concetto di fluttuazione dell’impulso facilita considerevolmente i calcoli riguardanti le reazioni fotonucleari con l’ausilio di tecniche di regole di somma. In particolare questo metodo rende possibile considerare esplicitamente le somme ponderate con la potenza negativa della differenza di energia fra gli stati iniziale e finale. Si sono considerate in dettaglio le transizioni di dipolo elettrico.

В этой статье мы исследуем влияние нелокальности потенциала взаимодействия нуклонной системы на вероятностную плотность тока и через нее на импульс. Оказывается, что использование концепции флуктуации импульса значительно облегчает вычисления, относящиеся к фотоядерным реакциям с помощью техники правил сумм. В частности, этот метод позволяет явно рассмотреть суммы, взвешенные с отрицательной степенью разности энергий между начальным и конечным состояниями. Подробно исследованы электрические дипольные переходы.
