Summary
Recent experimental results near 10 MeV obtained at Berkeley and Los Alamos are treated in terms of an energy-independent phase-shift analysis, complemented by an effective-range expansion analysis of the1 S 0 phase shifts. The one-pion-exchange dependence is confirmed but an anomaly is found near 10 MeV. The necessity and accuracy of further experimental work is indicated and discussed.
