For electron-nucleon scattering the B-G conjecture andG 2 E /Q 2G 2 M →0 asQ 2→∞ lead us to νW 2=2MxW 1 (orσ S /σ T = 0) nearx=1 (12), which implies within the parton model that partons with spin 1/2 dominate even atx=1, contrary to the D.L.Y. model:S.
