Summary
Two characteristics of proton-antiproton scattering ρ(s)=ReF \(p\bar p\)/ImF \(p\bar p\) andT tot(s) are considered. Theoretical consideration is based on the analytical properties of the forward-scattering amplitudeF \(p\bar p\) (s). Experimental data on ρ and σtot atp L≤1 GeV/c have been analyzed, and a satisfactory description of ρ andT tot(s) has been achieved only when a quasi-nuclear state is assumed to exist in a\(p\bar p\) system. The mass of this state is close to 2m, wherem is the proton mass.
