Fission of nuclei as a result of stopped antiproton capture

Summary

In the framework of the model of absorption of stopped antiprotons by nuclei which has been developed earlier, the experimental data on\(\tilde pA\)-fission were analysed. The results of calculations are in good agreement with the nuclear fissilities obtained experimentally and with the momentum distribution of residual nuclei before fission.
