Quantum electrodynamics under complete covariant gauge condition

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

The consistency between the characteristics of the complete covariant gauge condition and the fundamental concepts in quantum field theory is scrutinized. The analysis of the generalized chiral transformation of the electromagnetic potential, however, shows that the formulation cannot be related with the conventional ones by unitary transformations.
