Exact ground-state energy-density in a nontrivial quantum field theory in four dimensions

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

An exact analytic expression is obtained for the ground-state energydensity for a nontrivial quantum field theory in four dimensions of space-time. The basic idea in setting up the model is to develop the interaction in such a way as to give rise to an exact integrable expression for the path integral of the vacuum-to-vacuum transition amplitude with respect to the Gaussian measure in Euclidean space in the absence of external sources.
