Asymmetry in the photonucleon angular distributions

Summary

The angular distribution of the neutrons and protons emitted in the (γ, n) and in the (γ, p) reactions is investigated in the frame of the particle plus core nuclear model. The collective dipole and quadrupole degrees of freedom of the core are explicitly taken into account. As an application it is shown that the photoneutrons peak forward in some energy range of the incident photons.

Si studia la distribuzione angolare di neutroni e protoni emessi rispettivamente nelle reazioni (γ, n) e (γ, p) nell'ambito di un modello nucleare in cui si considera il nucleo formato da un nocciolo e da una particella (neutrone o protone). Si tiene esplicitamente conto dei gradi di libertà collettivi sia di dipolo che di quadrupolo e si mostra, come applicazione, che i neutroni sono emessi prevalentemente in avanti quando l'energia dei fotoni incidenti cade in un definito intervallo di energia.

Исследуется угловое распределение нейтронов и протонов, испущенных в (γ, n) и (γ, p) реакциях в рамках модели: частица плюс ядерный остов. При рассмотрении в явном виде учитываются коллективные дипольные и квадрупольные степени свободы. Показывается, что фотонейтроны имеют резкий пик вперед в некоторой области эначений энергий падающих фотонов.
