Emission of8Li by heavy nuclei of photoemulsion exposed to 60 GeV pions

Summary

The yield, spectrum and angular distributions of8Li fragments emitted by heavy nuclei of emulsion exposed to 60 GeV pions are measured. It is shown that the velocity of the residual nucleus strongly depends on the number of cascade protonsn g. Taking account of this fact makes it possible to correlate the experimental data with the cascade evaporation model.

Si misurano la resa, lo spettro e le distribuzioni angolari dei frammenti di8Li emessi dai nuclei pesanti dell'emulsione esposta a pioni di 60 GeV. Si dimostra che la velocità del nucleo residuo dipende fortemente dal numeron gdi protoni della cascata. Tenendo conto di questo fatto è possibile correlare i dati sperimentali con il modello di evaporazione della cascata.

Измерен выход, спектр и угловое распределение осколков8Li испускаемых тяжелыми ядрами фотоэмульсии при облучении пионами с энергией 60 БэВ. Показано, что скорость остаточного ядра сильно зависит от числаn g каскадных протонов. Учет этого обстоятельства позволяет согласовать экспериментальные данные с каскадно-испарительной моделью.
