Summary
Blocking patterns for different ions elastically scattered by a very thin Si crystal have been measured. The dependence of the “volumes” and of the shapes of the experimental blocking dips on the ion characteristics is discussed. A “universal” behaviour of the dip volumes and of the angular distributions is found, provided the crystal targets be very thin. The importance of these results is discussed in connection with the nuclear reaction time measurements in heavy-ion collisions.
