Summary
A general transport equation is formulated as a generalization of Newton’s first law and the concept of contact forces, and it is shown how one can interpret the Maxwell equations, the inhomogeneous wave equations for the Lorentz-gauge potentials, and the Dirac equation as describing certain underlying transport phenomena in the strong-scattering limit.
