Multipion production in the isospin conservation model

Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

The isospin conservation model for pion production is discussed. Within the expected limitations of applicability the model gives the following results:a) σt(pp)=σt(pn);b) <n 0>=1/3<n>; the isospin of the pion could isc)I(pion cloud)=0 or 1;d) for the charge multiplicity <n c> we obtain the functional dependence of <n c>/D c on <n c> which is in good agreement with the existing data;e) σ(pp→pnπ+)/σ(pp→ppπ0)=2, σ(pp→pnπ+/σ(pn→ppπ=2;f) the average number of protons <n p> is <n p>→5/3 as <n>→∞.

В рамках пределов применимости эта модель дает следующие результаты;a) σt(pp)=σt(pn);b) <n 0>=1/3<n>;,b) <n 0>=1/3<n>. Изоспин пионного облака составляетc)I (пионного облака)=0 или 1.d) Для множественности заряженных частиц <n c> мы получаем функциональную зависимость <n c>/D c от <n c>, которая хорошо согласуется с существуущими данными.e) σ(pp→pnπ+)/σ(pp→ppπ0)=2, σ(pp→pnπ)+/σ(pn→ppπ=2;f).f) Среднее число протонов <n p> составляет <n p>р5/3, когда <n>→∞.
