An analysis of electron-proton scattering

Summary

The measurements of electron-proton differential scattering cross-sections have been fitted successfully using a dispersiontheoretic form. One fit uses the p, ω and η resonances, and small hard cores. 71 experimental points give a ξ2 value of 178. A second fit uses the ρ and to resonances, an also a «soft core» at about 11(0 MeV, and a small hard core. The 71 experimental points give a ξ2 value of 209.

Si sono approssimate con successo le misure della sezione d’urto differenziale per lo scattering elettrone-protone, usando una formula di dispersione teorica. Una approssimazione usa le risonanze ρ, ω ed η, e piccoli « hard core ». 71 punti sperimentali danno per ξ2 un valore di 178. Una seconda approssimazione usa le risonanze ρ ed ω ed anche un «soft core» a circa 1100MeV e un piccolo «hard core».I 71 punti sperimentali danno per ξ2 un valore di 209.
