Rissunto
Summary
The distribution curve in water of Raα+Be neutron has been determined by means of thin In foils. In order to evaluate the absolute strength of the source (501,87 mg of Ra), the yield of the counting system has been measured by irradiating the same detectors by a thermal neutron flux of known intensity. The source strength has been found to be 3,01±0,15·106 neutrons sec−1.
