Summary
Mhe vibration frequency for a molecule of a diatomyc hydride AH is calculated. It is assumed that the molecule AH consists in: an atomic system A (with the electron of the H atom added) and a proton penetrating into the electronic structure of its partner, whose distribution law for the electronic density is represented by a function of hydrogen-like type with spherical symmetry. Then the following formula is deduced for the vibration wavenumber in the ground state:
(r e: internuclear distance of the molecule in its equilibrium state; μ: reduced mass;v: number of valency electrons for the atom A, with total quantum numbern). The new formula fits the experimental data satisfactorily.
