Conclusion

It was concluded that the gastric splanchnic mechanoreceptors played an important role in the regulation of the gastric motility. They inhibited gastric motility by increasing activity of the efferent gastric splanchnic nerve, and by way of the sympathico-adrenalo-catecholamine system. They enhanced the gastric motility by way of the sympathico-reno-renin-angiotensin system.
